SRB Taps First Gluten Free Beer

We are excited to announce we will be tapping our first gluten free beer*, Em Sav Saison, in the taproom tomorrow (3/9). As this is a pilot release, quantities are very limited and Em Sav Saison will only be available in the taproom. This release is the kick off of our gluten free series, we will continue to bring you a variety of gluten free beer in the next year.

Noticing a lack of gluten free beers in the craft beer market, we have been wanting to brew a gluten free beer for quite some time. Em Sav Saison is named after our Brewmaster Pete’s wife, Ellen, who is gluten free. Pete wanted to create a Sibling Revelry beer his wife could enjoy. Em Sav Saison is going on tap just in time for her birthday.

Rated at 5.8% ABV and 35 IBUs, Em Sav Saison is the gluten free craft beer you’ve been waiting for. This beer has a bright fruit body that will remind you of a smooth glass of Chardonnay. Em Sav Saison will be served in a traditional pint glass for $7 a pint. Only a limited amount of this pilot release is available now, so make plans to stop by the SRB taproom before it's gone!

*This beer was brewed with 100% gluten free ingredients and tested below 10ppm for gluten presence (North American standard for gluten free labeling is 20ppm) but may still contain traces of gluten.

 

ABOUT THE BEER

This hazy copper beer has aromas of sweet spice and Chardonnay that leads to a bright fruity body with a dry, semi-tart finish.  The yeast used in this beer plays a big role in its overall character while the hops contribute herbal notes to the aroma.

 

5.8% ABV / 35 IBU

 

Ingredients:

Grain – Millet, Buckwheat, Sorghum; Hops – Magnum, Arianna, Calista; Yeast – blended Belgian Saison
